Explorer Hat


It is time to get outdoors and exploring in nature! Create an explorer hat made from old newspapers and let your imagination run wild. There are so many different sights, sounds, and smells to discover, so get outdoors and play!

What You Need

  1. 2 full sheets of newspaper
  2. Tape
  3. Markers, crayons, or paint

What You Do  
1. Take 2 full sheets of newspaper and place them on a table with the folded edge towards you and the open edge away from you.  step_1.jpeg
2. Take one corner of the folded edge and make a triangle. step_2.jpeg
3. Do the same with the opposite corner.  
4. Take the open edge and fold it over towards you.  
5. Flip the paper over and do the same fold with the other side.  
6. If you would like your hat to be a bit smaller, take the bottom of your hat and fold it up once more on either side.  
7. Use a piece of tape to hold the bottom edge in place on either side.  
8. Decorate your hat.  
9. Find an outdoor space near where you live and get exploring!
