You may be fairly familiar with this month's species. In fact, it may have been in your home just last month. The Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is a popular Christmas tree, liked for its full shape, soft needles and distinctive citrus scent. It also happens to be a native tree of Colorado and can be found in many Denver parks.

Looking for a way to get your kids outside and active this summer while you are at work? Don't want them to stop learning just because it's summer? Then Adventures Outside is for you! We now have two camps at two locations! We will have our original camp along the South Platte River and a new camp in Downtown Denver at the Cherry Creek.
